• $15m revenue business with aggressive growth plans, national leader in their wholesale category
• Manage business operations across production, supply chain and logistics
• Report directly to the Managing Director handling end to end supply chain operations
Client Details
The business is a leader in its particular field of manufacturing, distribution & delivering turnkey office furniture solutions across the country, priding itself on its customer service and delivery. Delivering solutions to some of the largest business in Australia the business has aggressive growth plans and requires a Supply Chain Leader (2IC to managing director) to take the business to the next level.
Description
Reporting directly to the Managing Director the Head of Supply Chain & Operations will hold a pivotal position in the business, entrusted with the leadership and enhancement of the supply chain, project delivery, production and operational activities. Specifically you will cover:
Definition and implementation of strategic goals; - Manage the transition to a purpose built warehouse and production facility in mid 2024 (including layout of inventory & machinery), managing the supply chain and operations teams (fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and innovation)
Supply chain management; Manage the global supply chain for materials and finished products. Manage multi modal freight and all third party partners whilst looking for more cost effective suppliers and building a fit for purpose distribution network. Optimize processes from procurement to distribution, to enhance cost-efficiency and customer satisfaction. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure a robust and reliable supply chain network.
Project Delivery; Develop and lead the implementation of a delivery and install strategy that is future fit whilst ensuring OTIF delivery whilst coordinating the small in house metal work and acoustics teams
Profile
You are a proven Head of Operations/ Supply Chain Manager with your experience ideally having been gained within wholesale and distribution of a fast moving consumer good delivered into customers premises. Your experience has been gained in and end to end supply chain role including product sourcing, vendor and contract management from low cost sources alongn with project management. You will be able to demonstrate a hands on approach with strategic nouse and the ability to develop and help grow a supply chain from product inbound to installation.
