Client Details
My client is a high-growth Non-Bank Lending organisation specialising in residential mortgages. With an impressive growth story and revolutionising the loan experience for customers, my client has built a strong reputation amongst its competitors and customers.  
They are seeking a high calibre Financial Accountant with a Financial Services/Lending background to join their Finance team in this end-to-end role.

Description
Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure the timely completion of month-end close, daily balance sheet reconciliation, year-end & half-year financial statement preparation for the company's trusts and Group.
  • Consolidation of monthly, half-year and year-end reporting.
  • Assist in producing technical accounting papers including IFRS 9 and IFRS 15 assessments.
  • Assist in maintaining cashflow forecast including all cash movements between the company and securitisation trusts.
  • Preparation of cost centre reports to analyse business efficiency.
  • Preparation and lodgment of BAS, income tax returns and FBT returns.
  • Responsible for Payroll and Accounts Payable.
  • Managing the external audit relationship and responsible for year-end external audit process.
  • Partner with the Head of Finance, Head of FP&A, C-Suite  in various analytics and projects 
  • Assist with adhoc projects across FP&A, Strategy, Treasury Reporting and Process Improvement.
Profile
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant ideally within Lending/Securitisation looking to broaden their exposure and work for a high-growth organisation that offers excellent career progression opportunities with a clear pathway.

The successful candidate must be:
  • CA/CPA qualified 
  • 4+ years Financial Control experience in a similar role 
  • Securitisation/Non-Bank Lender/Lending background highly preferred
  • Prior experience in a Group Accounting role will be highly desired
  • Detail-oriented, can-do attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills (ability to build pivots, v-lookups and complex formulas)
Job Offer
This is a 6 month fixed term contract with a view to go permanent. The salary on offer is $100k to $120k base + super.
