Key Responsibilities
This is a hands-on, broad role covering transactional through to financial reporting responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations: AP, AR, payroll, BAS, GST, and payroll tax.
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations plus month-end adjustments.
  • Deliver month-end and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare general purpose financial statements in compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage the external audit process.
  • Submit monthly reporting packages to the parent company in Italy.
  • Maintain and manage the local MYOB system while reporting through Oracle at Group level.
  • Handle multi-currency transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with annual stocktake and liaise with external accountants for local compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
You will bring a strong foundation in accounting and the ability to thrive in an autonomous role:
  • Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
  • CA/CPA qualified (or currently completing).
  • Solid grounding in financial and management accounting, including BAS, payroll, GPFS, and audit.
  • Proficiency in MYOB; Oracle or other ERP experience highly regarded.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial business will be advantageous.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with the ability to work independently.
