Cyber Security Advisor

We are working with a well known healthcare provider who are embarking on a large digital transformation across their entire operations. The environment is very much "Greenfields" with the opportunity to get into a large program of work at the very beginning where you can influence decision making on selected systems, processes and the general pathway ahead. As part of their transformation they are looking at uplifting their Cyber Security posture with several newly created positions. 

The Cyber Security Analyst will work closely with the Manager IT Security & Governance to develop standards, drive general improvements and provide timely pragmatic security reviews, advice and direction.

Key focus areas:

- Provide on-demand reviews and guidance, balancing best practice and the organisation’s developing capabilities.
- Monitor the IT environment for compliance with information security policies and procedures, identifying security risks and advising on pro-active security maintenance and remedial activities as required.
- Development of standardised guidance artefacts.
- Participation in awareness and education activities to continuously improve.
- Work with technical teams to ensure effective implementation of security controls.
- Engage with projects to provide Cyber Security services on behalf of the IT Security & Governance function.
- Guide implementation of security controls in line with internal requirements, compliance obligations and best practice.
- Actively participate in risk workshops to identify risks and control weaknesses, propose treatment, and support in appropriate decision making.
- Contribute to project artefacts that document the design and implementation of controls for delivered solutions.
