Client Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable government department currently seeking an experienced Project Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop professional, timely and accurate plans, strategies, policies and systems within the branch/cluster, while working closely with senior management and others to meet programs and objectives.
- Provide a professional, timely and accurate central point of contact, delivering a “knowledge brokering” function, to define knowledge needs, acquire information, and package it in a form which can be used or accessed immediately by the partner/client.
- Implement and quality control to contribute to branch/division/cluster corporate and strategic planning and initiatives.
- Explore and identify potential new alliances, collaboration, networks and funding for enhancing capacity and effectiveness.
- Develop, monitor and/or maintain relevant management systems and policies.
- Provide advice, coordination of responses, referral of matters to others for action, and liaison with others inside or outside of the cluster.
Challenges:
- Maintaining a good understanding of the relevant issues current at any time and is aware of division/branch executive staff views on those issues.
- Developing strategies and plans, often of a complex and related to sensitive issues.
Essential skills:
- Proven knowledge, skills and experience in strategic planning, and policy/systems development relevant to research organisation.
- Proven knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of professional services and research
