Description 

The Data Governance Business Analyst is responsible for assisting in implementing Data Governance Framework, developing standards and policies, and improving data quality and management data value.

• Working with business and IT stakeholders to define and develop data policies and standards.
• Gain a good understanding of data and implement initiatives to improve the quality, accuracy, and completeness.
• Document and align data definitions, catalogs, metadata, and classifications.
• Work with the business to define and improve business processes to continually improve the quality of our data.
• Understand data related regulations and compliance requirements. Be apart of the privacy reform working group.
• Regular and effective internal customer engagement to build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
• Work with business units, project managers and project teams responsible for IT delivery


Profile
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, information management or similar discipline.
  • Strong data quality, data governance, or business analysis experience ideally related BI governance and analytics.
  • Experience with metadata and data quality tools (Informatica Data Management Cloud preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
  • Some experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL) and/or data visualisation tools Power BI.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
  • A natural ability to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of agile practices.
  • Able to work independently yet collaboratively, and always as part of a team.
  • Detail and quality-oriented.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills.
