The business is a family-owned company embarking on an exciting period of growth. They have recently hired a new Executive Team, including a non-family Managing Director to drive this growth. The company, a wholesale furniture distributor, supplies re-sellers across Australia, and is relocating to a purpose-built warehouse, factory, showroom & offices July 2024.
Position Overview:
This is a dynamic role supporting the Managing Director & others of the Executive Team (Heads of Marketing, Operations & Corporate Services), and managing the new office & showroom.
The business is seeking an intelligent, humble, and purpose-driven individual who possesses commercial acumen and can coordinate the needs of a busy office.
The Business Support Manager should be resourceful, innovative, and proactive. They should be able to think independently and require minimal direction. The ideal candidate will possess strong decision-making skills, the ability to think under pressure, exercise good judgement, lead & influence, and stay ahead of the Executive Team by anticipating their needs.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience leading a similar business support function encompassing end-to-end administration, Executive Assistant support and overseeing HR activity.
The ideal candidate for this position is straightforward, hard-working, and respectful, with a sense of urgency. They should be versatile and have the confidence to support senior leaders while also being able to build positive relationships with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative work environment.
This individual will be the MD's right-hand person, capable of proactively and professionally anticipating and executing tasks, ensuring they are completed in a timely manner.
They should possess commercial intelligence, be confidential, and be able to discern and address issues within work-streams.
Professional presentation and engagement. You will have ownership for the showroom which is integral to business success therefore, someone with a good attention-to-detail is required.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and support all administrative duties in the offices and ensure that the office is operating smoothly.
- Prepare facilities for visitors and client meetings.
- Maintain meeting rooms, kitchen, and other common areas within the office.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and courier deliveries.
- Coordinate provision & setup of equipment for new staff members.
- Lead the planning and execution of internal company events such as the end of year events, morning teas, and executive meetings.
- Direct executive support by managing schedules, priorities, communication and follow up across the business.
- Drive and maintain business execution rhythms, liaising with, and following up, key stakeholders across the business.
- Facilitate business meetings, including agendas, presentations, documenting minutes and actions.
- Compile information for executive reports, create compelling PowerPoint presentations, overseeing all content.
- Arrange domestic and international travel, being available outside regular business hours where necessary.
- Manage and coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process across all roles and levels.
- Manage HR administrative tasks, including talent acquisition, contract preparation, on-boarding, and workforce development, aligning with our values and organisational objectives.
- Assist the Managing Director with implementation of HR initiatives, policies & procedures.
- Liaise with management payroll service provider and Head of Corporate Services to execute weekly pays.
- Assist with implementation and administration of WHS policies.
- Assist team leaders administer Performance Management processes.
- Collaborate with the executive team and consultants to drive organisational success and foster a positive work environment.
