You will hands-on technical expertise across cyber security operations, security tooling, risk, assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is suited to someone who has built a strong technical foundation in cyber security and has progressed into a broader security advisory, risk, and assurance capacity. You will work across security technologies, incident response, vulnerability management, governance activities, and security uplift programs.

Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support and operational expertise across cyber security platforms and controls
- Manage and enhance security technologies including SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, email security, identity and access management, and application controls
- Support cyber incident response activities and act as an escalation point for security operations
- Contribute to security risk assessments, audits, and compliance activities including ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and SOC requirements
- Assist with improving security maturity through the implementation and optimisation of security controls
- Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to improve cyber awareness and risk understanding
- Support security projects, technology improvements, and ongoing cyber resilience initiatives
Profile
The successful candidate will be a technically capable cyber security professional who enjoys working across both engineering and risk-focused activities.
- Experience within Cyber Security, Information Security, or a related technical security role
- Strong hands-on experience across security technologies and operational security environments
- Experience working with frameworks and standards including ISO 27001, Essential Eight, and SOC audit requirements
- Ability to translate technical security concepts, risks, and controls for a range of stakeholders
- Experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, email security, privileged access management, and security monitoring tools
- Exposure to technologies such as Microsoft E5, Sentinel, CyberArk, or similar security platforms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or equivalent experience
