Sydney – Hybrid Working – 12 Month FTC
 
A leading services organisation is seeking a senior commercially focused competition lawyer to join their In-House team. The role will be supporting all corporate functions across contracting, dispute resolution and compliance advice.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

• Advising on commercial, competition and consumer law issues
• Drafting agreements and correspondence, managing/coordinating litigation and other dispute resolution processes
• Preparing submissions to government on regulatory matters
• Keeping up to date on legislative and regulatory environment relating to key aspects of the organisation
• Reviewing Board and Board committee papers from time to time
• Managing external law firms

 
Key Requirements:
 

• Ideally a minimum 7 years PQE ideally from a top tier law form or In-House organisation
• Previous commercial law experience with a focus on competition law
• Prior In-House and infrastructure experience will be viewed favourably
• Experience and knowledge of evaluating and reviewing external advice and advising all levels of management on key legal issues.
• Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Strong commercial and communication skills
• Enjoy working as part of an experienced, small legal team.
