Senior Legal Counsel - Commercial/Franchising

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Counsel to join a leading FMCG organisation. Reporting directly to the General Counsel you will join a collegiate legal team, working closely with stakeholders and providing general commercial advice and supporting their franchising operations.

Beyond this, you will provide commercially focused legal support across a range of areas, including:

• Provideing expert advice on consumer protection privacy law
• Drafting and negotiating general commercial contracts
• Providing expert advice on consumer protection and  privacy law
• Providing advice on franchising obligations
• Keeping the business up to date on regulatory issues and compliance
• Liaising closely with the business and external counsel.

 
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Ideally 6-8 years PQE gained from a reputable firm or leading in-house organisation.
• Strong contract drafting and contract review skill set as well as commercial acumen.
• Strong franchising experience
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
• Previous experience in FMCG and/or retail leasing (highly regarded)
• Proven Experience managing or mentoring others
• A proactive, self driven approach
• Proven Experience managing or mentoring others
