Join a leading Technology company as Senior Corporate Counsel, where you'll provide strategic legal guidance to the business.
The Role
As a trusted advisor and strategic partner, you'll navigate a technically complex, heavily regulated industry while ensuring commercial objectives are met within appropriate legal frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as legal lead on significant, complex projects requiring sophisticated legal expertise
- Provide expert advice across, telecommunications, cyber security, competition law, and privacy regulations
- Negotiate and manage contracts where the organisation operates as both buyer and seller, often with well-resourced counterparties
- Brief senior executives on contractual matters and facilitate approval processes
- Identify legal and regulatory issues in new products, processes, and business models
- Review and approve external communications, including marketing materials and customer bulletins
- Continuously improve contract terms and legal frameworks for customer and supplier relationships
- Develop legal intellectual capital through training, precedent development, and process improvement
- Contribute to internal governance structures supporting risk-appropriate decision making
- May manage external legal service providers and mentor junior lawyers
What You'll Bring
- Ideally 8-10 years PQE with legal experience gained at a reputable private practice firm or within an in-house legal team
- Strong commercial acumen with ability to provide pragmatic legal solutions in fast-paced environments
- Previous experience working in highly regulated environment
- Confidence to influence senior stakeholders and manage high-risk legal matters
- Strategic mindset with attention to critical details
- Collaborative approach—viewed as an enabler rather than a roadblock
