People Systems & Optimisation Lead

Job description

People Systems & Optimisation Lead (Dayforce)
Contract: 6–12 months | Immediate Start

We’re seeking an experienced Dayforce specialist to step into a high-impact contract focused on systems optimisation, process evolution, and operational efficiency across People & Payroll.

This is not a BAU role — it’s a project-led opportunity for someone who can assess current-state processes, identify gaps, and drive a clear roadmap to a more efficient, future-fit environment.

The Role Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will take ownership of Dayforce optimisation and process transformation, with a strong focus on improving workflows, governance, and system capability.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the evolution and optimisation of Dayforce, including configuration, workflows, and system improvements
  • Reviewing current HR and payroll processes and designing a more efficient future state
  • Driving process improvements and automation to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
  • Partnering with HR, Payroll, IT, and external vendors to enhance system performance and integration
  • Supporting and uplifting payroll processes, improving efficiency and compliance
  • Ensuring data integrity, governance, and system best practice across the employee lifecycle
  • Acting as a project lead, managing timelines, stakeholders, and delivery outcomes
About You You are a Dayforce expert with a strong track record in systems optimisation and transformation, rather than pure operations.

You bring:

  • Hands-on Dayforce experience (essential) – including optimisation, configuration, and process improvement
  • Proven experience in HRIS or payroll systems transformation / optimisation projects
  • A project mindset with the ability to assess, redesign, and implement improved processes
  • Strong understanding of HR and payroll operations, with exposure to compliance and governance
  • Ability to work independently, manage stakeholders, and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a focus on efficiency, scalability, and system capability
What’s on Offer
  • 6–12 month contract with immediate start
  • Opportunity to lead a meaningful systems evolution project
  • High level of autonomy and stakeholder exposure
  • Ability to make a tangible impact on systems, processes, and efficiency
If you’re a Dayforce specialist who thrives on transforming systems and driving better ways of working, this is an excellent opportunity to step into a critical project and deliver real outcomes.
