P&C Planning & Performance Manager

Job description

  • P&C Planning & Performance Manager
  • People & Culture Planning | Governance | Performance | Executive Exposure
  • Hybrid
A growing organisation is seeking a strategic, commercially minded, and highly organised Planning & Performance Manager to help shape how the People & Culture function plans, prioritises, governs, and measures its work during an exciting phase of growth and transformation.

This newly created role will partner closely with the Head of People & Culture and senior P&C leaders to drive whole-of-function planning, governance, performance reporting, and operational effectiveness. The role will bring clarity, discipline, and forward planning to ensure the function remains focused on the initiatives that matter most while strengthening the story told to the Executive Leadership Team and Board about the impact P&C is delivering.

Operating across the full P&C portfolio, this role plays a critical part in connecting strategy to execution, improving prioritisation, enhancing visibility of outcomes, and ensuring progress, risks, and performance are clearly understood across the organisation.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible enterprise role with significant exposure to executive leadership, board reporting, and strategic decision-making. It is ideally suited to someone from planning and performance, governance, PMO, business operations, strategic projects, consulting, transformation, or a similar environment who enjoys bringing structure to complexity and enabling organisational success.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading the planning, prioritisation, governance, and performance rhythm across the People & Culture function
  • Partnering with senior leaders to connect strategic priorities with delivery plans and outcomes
  • Coordinating enterprise and functional planning cycles, ensuring alignment to the People Strategy and broader business objectives
  • Developing meaningful reporting, insights, and performance measures to support executive and board-level decision-making
  • Establishing governance frameworks and disciplines that improve transparency, accountability, and delivery effectiveness
  • Identifying and communicating risks, dependencies, progress, and outcomes across the P&C portfolio
  • Creating visibility of the impact and value delivered by P&C initiatives, ensuring achievements are recognised and understood across the business
  • Preparing high-quality executive communications, presentations, board papers, and strategic updates
  • Supporting leaders to shape and communicate the P&C narrative both upward and downward across the organisation
What we're looking for
  • Experience in planning and performance, governance, PMO, business operations, strategic projects, consulting, transformation, or a similar strategic coordination role
  • Strong capability in planning, reporting, governance, and performance management
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with excellent attention to detail
  • Experience preparing executive-level reporting, presentations, and strategic documentation
  • Confidence operating in complex, fast-paced, and evolving environments
  • A collaborative, pragmatic, and outcomes-focused approach
  • High levels of organisational capability, commercial acumen, and executive maturity

You'll work closely with senior leaders to improve planning, prioritisation, governance, and performance visibility while contributing directly to executive and board conversations.

For someone who enjoys connecting strategy to execution, building operating rhythm and discipline, and creating transparency around organisational impact, this role offers significant scope, visibility, and long-term career growth.
