Operations & Sales Coordinator

Job description

Operations & Sales Coordinator
Permanent Full-Time
Hornsby Region | Hybrid Opportunity

About the Company

We're partnering with a well-established Australian business that designs and supplies innovative infrastructure products used across telecommunications, energy, utilities and major civil projects. With a reputation built on quality, innovation and exceptional customer service, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking for an Operations & Sales Coordinator to become a key part of the team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, growing business where you'll work closely with the founders, gain valuable industry knowledge and play a key role in supporting the company's continued success.

About the Role

This is a newly created position that will play a pivotal role in supporting the business's continued growth. You'll be the central point of contact for customers, coordinating sales administration, managing enquiries and ensuring orders are delivered seamlessly from enquiry through to fulfilment.

Working closely with the founders, you'll help streamline day-to-day operations, allowing the leadership team to focus on strategic growth initiatives while becoming the trusted go-to person across the business.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes and making a role their own.

As you become established in the role, you'll quickly develop an understanding of the company's products, terminology and components, enabling you to confidently support customers, coordinate orders and communicate with suppliers. You don't need an engineering qualification, but you'll be comfortable learning technical product information and working in an environment where product knowledge is important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inbound customer enquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Prepare quotations, process sales orders and coordinate order fulfilment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support purchasing activities and coordinate stock replenishment of everyday product lines.
  • Assist with inventory management and materials coordination.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and manufacturing partners to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate customer, inventory and sales records.
  • Support general operational and administrative functions across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to greater operational efficiency.
About You

You'll be someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, takes ownership of your work and genuinely enjoys supporting both customers and colleagues.
You'll ideally bring:
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales support, internal sales, operations coordination or administration within manufacturing, engineering, construction, electrical supply, industrial products or a similar environment.
  • Confidence working with product descriptions, part numbers, inventory or technical components.
  • The ability to quickly learn new products, terminology and business processes.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors.
  • A proactive, organised and solutions-focused approach.
  • The ability to prioritise competing tasks and work independently.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and business systems/CRMs.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is bright, energetic and eager to learn. You'll enjoy solving problems, asking questions and taking initiative, while remaining approachable, down-to-earth and easy to work with. You'll be someone who communicates well, enjoys being part of a collaborative team and is looking to build a long-term career within a growing business.
