Legal Counsel - Group Legal

A leading global bank, is looking for a Legal Counsel to join its ‘Group Legal’ team. As part of this role, you will be involved in the provision of high quality legal advice relating to transaction products and documentation, regulatory impacts on the bank’s Australian branch, and more.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide advice to the bank’s various departments
• Reviewing, advising on, and drafting legal documentation and contracts
• Monitoring changes in legislation
• Ensuring legal compliance within the business
• Preparing and conducting legal training sessions with relevant staff, where required

 
 
Key requirements

• Ideally 4-6 years PQE
• Previous experience with the internal processes of a financial institution – bank products, systems, lending, and more
• Familiarity with the legal and commercial issues faced by the banking and finance industry.
• Strong organisational and communication skills
