Role
- Lead integrated growth strategy. Own and deliver a connected fundraising, marketing and engagement strategy that drives revenue growth, strengthens brand positioning and supports long-term organisational sustainability.
- Drive revenue performance and diversification Hold accountability for philanthropic income, overseeing multi-year growth plans, donor pipeline development and the expansion of diversified revenue streams including partnerships and community engagement initiatives
- Align brand, marketing and demand generation Ensure marketing and communications activity is strategically aligned to service growth priorities, enhancing market reach, client acquisition and overall engagement across multiple service lines
- Build and leverage strategic partnerships Develop and maintain high-value relationships across corporate, government and community sectors, including engaging high-net-worth individuals and securing partnerships that amplify impact and funding
- Embed data-led performance and governance Establish clear performance frameworks across revenue, pipeline, ROI and engagement metrics, using data and insights to inform decision-making and report to Executive and Board stakeholders
- Executive leadership and capability building Lead, mentor and evolve high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement, while embedding a broader organisational mindset around growth and philanthropy.
- Shape organisational positioning and external voice
Lead the organisation’s brand narrative and market positioning, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all external channels to strengthen reputation and influence in the sector - Enhance client and supporter engagement. Oversee the development of end-to-end engagement strategies that deepen relationships with clients, donors and stakeholders, ensuring feedback loops inform continuous improvement and experience design
- Champion innovation and growth opportunities. Identify and pursue new revenue opportunities, programs and go-to-market approaches that expand impact, broaden audience reach and position the organisation for future growth
- Lead cross-functional alignment. Work closely with service, education and program leaders to ensure alignment between operational delivery and external engagement strategies, creating a seamless connection between service offering, brand and revenue outcomes
Profile
- Proven revenue and growth leader. Demonstrated success delivering against ambitious revenue targets, with experience leading fundraising, marketing or engagement functions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strategic and commercially astute. Strong ability to connect strategy to execution, balancing long-term growth planning with tangible outcomes, supported by solid financial and commercial acumen.
- Integrated marketing and fundraising expertise. Bring a holistic understanding of how brand, marketing and engagement translate into revenue, with the ability to align these functions to maximise impact.
- Influential stakeholder manager. Highly credible with senior leaders, Boards and external partners, with a track record of building trust, influencing decision-making and securing strategic partnerships.
- People-focused leader. Experience building and leading high-performing, multidisciplinary teams, creating clarity, alignment and a culture of ownership and collaboration.
- Change and transformation capability. Comfortable leading through change, driving new ways of working, scaling initiatives and embedding a more data-driven, performance-oriented approach.
- Purpose-driven mindset. Motivated by impact, with a genuine interest in contributing to a mission-led organisation making a meaningful difference in the community
