Client details
Our client, is a dynamic National trade services business, providing high quality, compliant and safe trade services to corporates in both the Commercial and Government sector.  They have built a high performing team who have a reputation of values of professionalism, innovation, technical expertise, quality, and uncompromising safety. The business has had 5 years of impressive growth and continues to scale; grow, lead and innovate. 
This is a critical leadership role within a growing business. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this COO position will see you accountable for high volume service delivery and operations – supplying maintenance trade services to over 4000 sites.
To be successful in this role, the individual will need to have B2B services sector experience, have led a large people function and have a track record of service and process improvement. You will have demonstrated people leadership skills as well as delivering best in class services to customers and commercial awareness.  You will have had experience with an SME, high performing team; hands on approach, been responsible for operations in a business scaling through growth.  Someone who knows what good looks like regarding training, L&D, balanced with commerciality and fit for purpose processes and plans.

  • Ensuring the people, operational & services delivery plans support the financial performance of the business & deliver to the customer needs
  • Building an end-to end people plan for operations - attraction, retention and development
  • Ensure the organisation's performance complies with set policies and statutory regulations
  • Reviewing the quality, addressing required actions and continuously improving people processes
  • Comply with statutory regulatory requirements
  • Proactively lead and build the Operational function and act as a business partner to all members of the leadership team
  • Maintain contact with relevant Industry Associations
  • Act as spokesperson for the Managing Partners with internal initiatives
To be successful in this role you will have
  • Extensive and broad Operations, Service Delivery, Compliance, Safety & Quality experience
  • Previous experience working with a fast growing, privately held business
  • Trade services experience highly regarded
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence  
  • Understanding and motivation to work in privately held business scaling for growth
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated broad business acumen
