Client Details

Major importer and distributor of paper goods to resellers in the hospitality and cleaning industries.  

Description 

You will be responsible for providing outstanding general office administration, bookkeeping & import logistics functions
  • Processing orders and invoices
  • Booking couriers, generating consignment notes and tracking deliveries
  • Accounts receivable
  • Coordinating imports with suppliers and freight forwarders
  • Collecting and checking shipping documents
  • Monitoring shipments and timely resolution of issues
  • Booking in shipments
  • Maintaining and entering information into databases
  • General office administration duties & additional duties when required in organising the filing system


Profile
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer literacy - Word, Excel, basic online applications
  • Sales order entry experience
  • Passionate about customer service and a strong customer-driven attitude! 
  • Polite and professional phone manner   
  • Strong command of the English language - written and verbal 
  • Effective time management skills  
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • A self-starter and the ability to work autonomously 
  • You are a responsible, mature and ethically minded, have a solid work record 

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A self-starter, we are seeking someone who has hands-on experience in managing an office with import logistics and sales order entry experience
  • A good working knowledge of inventory management/accounting software packages 
  • SAP operating experience 
  • Able to work unsupervised; highly organised and motivated is extremely important
  • Excellent communicator, with strong Customer Service experience and the ability to deal with confidential information
  • MS Office experience in Word and Excel as well as the use of basic online applications essential 
  • Someone looking for a pathway to a more senior role in import/logistics & office management
