Client Details

The client manufactures and distributes health and wellness products from 2 sites within Melbourne. As a result of huge growth the business requires a Packaging Technologist for an initial 12 month period.


Reporting to the Head of R&D the Packaging Technologist will Scope, review and validate packaging to be used across all of the clients brand portfolios. You will ensure packaging selected meet customers’ needs, supports optimal product stability and achieves sustainability goals. Specifically you will be responsible for:

- Leading the sourcing of all product packaging to ensure the solution best meets the technical, regulatory and commercial objectives (you will scope packaging suppliers, coordinate samples and fill trials,
- Reviewing products within the existing portfolio to ensure the packaging is optimised for the product.
- Identify and lead packaging optimisation and cost saving projects
- Review packaging and identify cost savings (light weighting, cap alterations, packaging sizing/harmonisation)
- Lead root cause analysis for customer complaints, specific to trending packaging fails
- Develop, maintain and manage technical packaging specifications for new products


You are a  proven Packaging Technologist with your experience gained from within a food, pharmaceutical or packaging manufacturing environment. You hold a degree in a relevant field and are excited about working for a small, privately owned TGA Manufacturer experiencing real growth in recent year.
Circa $115,000- $120,000 + super
