They are seeking a Senior Associate/Special Counsel to join their Sydney employment team.  The work will involve:
  • Workplace relations (including discrimination, wrongful dismissal, general protection etc);
  • EPL Claims for major insurers;
  • Appearance work in the Supreme, Federal, District, and Local Courts as well as managing industrial relations issues in the Fair Work Commission;
  • Occupational Health and Safety prosecutions; and
  • Broader commercial litigation matters such as corporate recoveries and governance disputes.
Their clients include global and national insurers, ASX listed companies, private companies and high net worth individuals.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • 5 – 10 years’ experience, within employment and commercial litigation;
  • Strong litigation skills with the confidence to appear in all State and Federal courts/Tribunals;
  • EPL experience would be advantageous;
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of employment law;
  • Experience and knowledge of Australian employment tribunal processes and procedures;
  • Ability to manage own time, excellent organisations skills and attention to detail;
  • A team player, with the desire and capability to supervise junior lawyers in the team;
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, displaying the highest standard of professional ethics.
