Description 

The Executive Assistant will support the Commissioner and executive team with everything administrative. Core responsibilities are as follows:
  • Provide timely, expert and professional executive and secretariat support to the Commissioner.
  • Managing the Commissioner’s diary, assessing requests for appointments from internal and external stakeholders, negotiating appointment times and resolving conflicting appointment requests.,
  • Identify, assess and recommend the priority order of issues for consideration by the Commissioner
  • Develop and manage effective communication relationships between the Commissioner’s office and the Premier’s office
  • Prepare timely, accurate briefing papers, reports, submissions and review documents on a range of issues, including Ministerial issues
  • Provide a range of timely, high level administrative support services for the Commissioner including coordinating travel arrangements, processing invoices and monitoring the budget to ensure appropriate use of funds, arranging maintenance and liaising with building security regarding access by visitors and guests of the Commissioner
  • Contribute to the development, establishment, monitoring and reporting on communication protocols and procedures throughout the organisation for the provision of advice and information to the Commissioner, ensuring the highest standard of confidentiality
  • Consult with the Executive team and senior management across the organisation, to ensure that advice and information identifies emerging issues for attention


Profile

  • Zero precious attitude and demonstrate resilience and commitment to getting tasks done
  • Maturity and solid stakeholder engagement skills 
  • A 'roll up your sleeves' attitude and willingness to help out where required
  • Security clearance
