Operations Manager

•      Pharmaceutical Manufacturing business in growth mode seeks an Operations Manager

•      Based near Blacktown, team of circa 30 (including technicians, compounders and dispensers) 

•      Operations role covering production, quality, warehousing and technical

Client Details

The business is a privately owned pharmaceutical manufacturer which has been through a major transformation in recent years. Boasting some start of the art CAPEX the business has a large order book waiting to be on boarded; the Operations Manager will be central to making these new orders happen!


Reporting to the Managing Director the Operations Manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient production and distribution of animal health products. Working across the business with the Production Teams, QA Director, Supply Chain Director the Operations Manager will:

-Manage the production (compounders and technicians) and warehousing supervisory teams ensuring safety is priority
-Ensure production complies with GMP and other legislative requirements, leading the technical function on site 
-Control production planning and labour costs ensuring DIFOT is at 99% and above
-Manage KPI scorecards and implement visual boards and measurement
-Assist with and prepare GMP Audits
-Project manage new CAPEX installations, preparing and maintaining all maintenance and capital budgets
As this is a small manufacturing operation you will be hands on and used to working collaboratively. You will have the vision (and be able to demonstrate having previously) to get the business to world class!


You are a proven Manufacturing/ Operations Manager from within the pharmaceutical manufacturing or similarly regulated food manufacturing environment. You will be able to evidence managing  team of at least 30 staff across production, warehousing an technical and have a depth of understanding regards GMP manufacturing.

Job Offer

Circa $165,000- $175,000 + Super + 10% bonus
