Description

The Operations Manager and team are responsible for the production of all Starch, Gluten Ethanol, Glucose and Stillage products for Shoalhaven Starches based in Bomaderry, Nowra. The Site Operations Manager will manage, maintain, monitor and report on production requirements and output, new equipment and maintenance requirements, plant facilities, systems and procedures to ensure the quality, effectiveness and efficiency in product delivery in accordance with strategic objectives. The Operations Manager will have 4 Production Managers reporting to them and circa 350 reports beneath them. The role holder will hold responsibility over 4 distinct processing areas covering safety, DIFOT and all associated reporting.

A major focus of the role will be Continuous Improvement, waste reduction and working closely with the projects team regarding some large sale CAPEX programs already underway and planned for the future.

Profile

You are a Senior Manufacturing Manager, Plant or Operations Manager with your experience is gained from within food or beverage production (or similar). You will be able to evidence managing a large and complex FMCG site as well as a depth of understanding around safety and continuous improvement. You will be able to run a complex, multi line manufacturing site with several distinct processes. Your experience will be complemented by a Degree in an Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Process) or similarly related field.
