Client Details

Operating within the wellness sector, our client is looking for an Financial Accountant to support the goals of the organisation.

Description 

We are looking for a junior accountant to support the effective execution of financial accounting team activities on a day-to-day basis. The key activities of the role are as follows:

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all entities within the group on a monthly basis
• Liaise with stakeholders and drive initiatives to improve accounting and operations of the business
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting and provide ad-hoc analysis
• Assist with reviewing of expenses and payroll records
• Prepare and submit monthly reports

Profile

• CA/ CPA qualification
• Bachelor degree in commerce or accounting
• Experience working in a large or multi-national company
• Experience working within the consumer or retail industry
• Minimum of 3 years accounting experience
• Good computing and software skills - intermediate use of Excel/ Google sheets preferable
• Technical accounting knowledge and the ability to interpret accounting standards such as AASB 15, AASB 16 and AASB116
• Experience in preparing financial reports, income tax returns, internal management reporting, compliance and regulatory reporting
• Experience working in a fast paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Highly skilled in report writing, problem solving and analysis
