Practice Manager

•     Practice Manager - Accounting Firm

•     Up to $120K plus Super (open to part time)

•      Sydney CBD

This accounting firm is a leader in its appetite for innovation and is progressive in nature. The firm is home to around 25 staff and accomplished partners who are experts in their field. They offer their staff fantastic progression opportunities, true work life balance and invest heavily in various training initiatives as well as regular social activities. Their offices are centrally located in Sydney's CBD and the recent renovation reflects the firms modern and collaborative approach. This is a brilliant opportunity  as part of the Leadership team, being the gel that steers this the efficient workforce planning, scheduling and resource management of this successful firm.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day efficiency of the firm’s workflow system to ensure timely and streamlined communication, delivery, and billing of client work by our accountants.
  • Utilising data analysis to monitor and manage the end-to-end allocation and scheduling 
  • Conducting weekly workflow meetings 
  • Deliver weekly job reporting and analysis to key stakeholders 
  • Maintaining accurate records of job status, with resource planning based on analysis and reporting of the workflow data.
  • Arranging staff training and team building events
  • HR responsibilities including recruitment, team onboarding and performance reviews 
  • Overseeing practice specific projects

  • You’re a competent and successful professional with previous experience working in a similar workflow focused role – having worked with an Australian accounting firm would be a bonus.
  • You have demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • You have strong Microsoft Office skills and strong technical competence with practice management (ideally Xero Practice Manager) and/or resource management software.
