Our client provides writing training and editing services for professionals in government agencies and private companies, offering an integrated suite of consulting services. They are market leaders with a strong presence and reputation within Government organisations and they are in an exciting growth phase expanding more into the corporate sector.

Your solid background in professional editing, and experience in client servicing and account management for professional services will help secure this fantastic opportunity for you.

You will manage a team of in-house editors who deliver services in editing workplace documents, develop document templates and writing guides, provide assessment and organisation-wide writing evaluations and online editing services.

Key duties
  • Scoping editing projects with clients to recommend the most effective mix of services
  • Working with our business development team to provide timely editing service quotations, tenders and contracts
  • Scheduling team workflow to ensure projects remain on time and on budget
  • Reviewing team work to ensure it meets our quality standards
  • Liaising with clients throughout a project and troubleshooting any issues
  • Ensuring our editing service and account communications meet high standards
  • Supporting and mentoring team staff with workflow activity and HR
  • Reporting on performance against set targets
  • Contributing to editing services marketing and online activity
  • Maintaining and strengthening our client account data, systems and resources
  • Developing and overseeing service and team policies, procedures and processes
Your experience
  • at least 5 years experience in editing and/or corporate communication
  • a solid track record in client account management in the corporate or government sector
  • demonstrated experience in leading a team
  • exceptional plain English communication skills, both spoken and written
  • high competency in MS Office, CRMS and system software, and general digital literacy
  • excellent time management and project management skills
  • a university degree with relevant qualifications
  • understanding and experience of the government and corporate sectors.
