About the Role

This position is 90% tax advisory focused, with a small role in compliance around the EOFY. You will mentor and review the workflow of a junior team while assisting managers and partners with larger clients and business development.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Work on complex corporate, domestic and international tax matters
  • Provide high quality tax advice regarding corporate tax matters, such as acquisitions and divestments, tax losses, consolidations, restructures, CGT advice
  • Engage in tax research, evaluate and explain new tax legislation, and formulate complex tax advice
  • Exposure to other elements of tax, such as transfer pricing, fringe benefits tax, GST, payroll, and country by country reporting
  • Assess engagement risks and make commercially sensible decisions in a fastpaced environment

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in Australia with a public practice firm
  • Prior experience in tax advisory
  • CA qualified or studying towards a CA
  • Proficient technical, written, and communication skills
  • Motivated and driven to progress your career with a top 10 firm
  • Australian permanent resident or citizen
