    Client Details

    A Major food manufacturing business with multiple ANZ sites and 250 on site in Sydney requires a HSE Coordinator to help execute the strategic HSE policy and implement it operationally.


    The purpose of this role is to support the effective roll-out, ongoing review and monitoring of the Health and Safety Management Framework (HSMF) as well as ensuring compliance to any other regulatory requirements, supporting the HSE Manager and leaders on site.
      Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Development, implementation and review of HSE Procedures
  • Drive Risk Management by conducting Risk Assessment, supporting the Risk Management
  • Process and building the Risk Register
  • Engage, support and influence all team members to achieve a pro-active Safety Culture
  • Answering questions, providing support and coach on HSE related topics
  • Ensuring all hazards and incidents are reported and corrective actions are completed within the set time frame
  • Ensure all incidents are investigated and support the investigation process
  • Pro-actively managing injuries and Return to Work Processes, supporting the injured worker and ensuring compliance
  • Accurately maintaining the Safety Score Card, Hazard register, incident register and Risk Register, online WHS system and document control system
  • Ensure compliance to legal and reporting requirements
  • Coach and support members of the Safety Committee and lead meetings as required
  • Support and engage the Emergency Control Organisation
  • Organise, design and deliver training and toolbox sessions on HSE topics, including site inductions for new employees and contractors
  • Safety qualifications
  • Min 2 years H&S, preferably experience in the (food) manufacturing industry
  • Working knowledge of H&S State Legislation and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of AS4801 / ISO18001 H&S Management Systems
  • Knowledge of and experience with Return To work and claims management (preferred)
