The Head of Data Analytics – Platforms & Architecture defines Data Analytics related IT strategy and roadmap and accountable for the execution of that roadmap

The Head of Data Analytics – Platforms & Architecture serves as an advisor to the leadership team to develop and deliver enterprise-wide solutions for complex data challenges, including developing best practices to derive insights, improve decision making, and automate processes

Reports to: Head of Digital & Business Solutions – SE Asia

  • Lead our Client's South East Asia Area strategy for Data Analytics in terms of architecture and technology roadmap
  • Accountable for the development and delivery of a portfolio from high level scoping through to execution and assist on embedding in to the organization
  • Defines the technical roadmap to enable the data governance and data management strategies
  •  Work with client’s Data Analytics central function to manage future demands, drive technology and data requirements to meet business requirements
  • Identifying and Defining Data & Analytics Investments: Works with business and IT leaders to identify areas of technical needs for future data science capabilities. Drives the development and deployment of the data and analytics platform.  Identifies and prioritizes business projects and enterprise data initiatives utilizing data science capabilities
  • Serves as the Data Analytics technical advisor. 
  • Represents the IT team and enterprise data stewards at leadership meetings and conferences. 
  • Develops and gives oral presentations on the power and value of data. 
  • Leads and/or serves on steering committees and helps leadership use its data effectively at these meetings
  • Identifying Opportunities for New Data Products. Lead strategy development for D&A products to ensure the program becomes pervasive throughout the organization and helps to increase revenue 
  • Facilitating Internal and External Collaboration: Collaborates with industry data experts to allow a proactive approach to improving insights derived from various data sources
Required Experience:

  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible relevant experience in the domain of data analytics and data management, including creating partnerships, implementing data governance, and understanding the underlying technologies needed to enable insights driven decision making across a midsized or large organization
  • Demonstrated experience in developing enterprise strategies as well as successfully executing programs that meet or exceed expectations in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to negotiate and influence outcomes from stakeholders at various levels in the organization, including executive level stakeholders
  • Ability to interpret the business IT and functional strategies, understand the Group operating model, and the implications actions in one area have on other functions
  • Business facing IT experience in a global environment

Required Skills:
  • Practical experience in BI/Data/Analytics including data modelling, data lake, translating data into usable value-added information
  • Practical experience with B2C data modelling, insights and other consumer related analytics (e.g. PII data, Financial transaction related data, Hyperpersonalisation, etc.)
  • Familiar with big data and data science technologies (e.g. Snowflake, Hadoop, Databricks, DataIKU etc) and Datawarehouse concepts
  • Familiar with Enterprise Data Management concepts
  • Familiar with AI/ML technologies and best practices
  • Familiar with data security and compliance practices e.g. dealing with consumer and PII data
  • Practical experience in the management of geographically diverse highly experienced domain experts
