Our client is a leading national firm with a growing demand in the commercial property & leasing space. A need has arisen for a specialist Leasing Senior Associate with 5-9 years’ PAE to join a friendly & collegiate team Sydney. You will work closely with the Head of the Group and 2 leading Property Partners, acting for both public & private sector clients including government agencies & large local and institutional landlords.

In this role you will be involved in:
  • Managing matters from client instruction through to completion including responsibility for the preparation, negotiation and management of clients' leases.
  • Working as part of a national property team, your portfolio will also include capital transactions work – largely acquisitions & disposals.
  • Manage & mentor a team of juniors & paralegals whilst maintaining regular client contact.
This role would suit a specialist & experienced leasing lawyer at 5-9 PAE who is passionate about this work & looking for their next step up.

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • At least 5-9 years’ PAE in retail and commercial leasing as well as broader commercial property work incl development & acquisitions & sales.
  • The ability to work autonomously and lead a team;
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Proven mentorship capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You will be motivated, energetic and enjoy building relationships with clients.
