About the RoleYou will work closely with experienced senior accountants and gain immediate exposure to the client’s portfolios. You will be exposed to a diverse range of accountancy disciplines, including tax, advisory, fund accounting and some insolvency work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of financial statements, company/trust/individual taxation returns
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
- Liaising with the ATO and clients with the support of a senior
- Assist clients with processing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll alongside a senior
- Assist with reporting requirements and audit preparation
- Provide technology advice to clients
- Other duties as required
Skills & Experience- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting
- Desire to pursue a CA or CPA
- Minimum 6 months experience in a public practice accounting firm
- Analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail
- Motivated and self-driven
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of Xero and MYOB is preferrable
- Computer literacy in Excel and Word is essential
- Australian/NZ permanent residency
