Client Details
Our client is a large organisation with an established strategic procurement function. Looking for someone to own the ICT Category.
 
Description
As the ICT Category Manager you will be responsible for the procurement of IT solutions and therefore experience procuring IT solutions in a large organisation dealing with fast moving technologies is a must.  You will provide input into the IT Procurement Strategic plan identifying purchasing requirements and costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Input into the IT Procurement Strategic plan – this will include expenditure requirements and expected savings
  • Deliver on the strategic plan
  • Deliver contracts and associated requirements using IT procurement transactional processes
  • Ensure procurement activities are effective and efficient following the corporate procurement processes
  • Negotiate with suppliers and look at contract improvement
  • Identify and screen new suppliers and conduct RFI’s
  • Conduct tenders for IT software solutions
  • Maintain central register of all software entitlements
Profile
  • 6 + years IT procurement
  • Knowledge of IT contracting, software licensing, hardware and IT services procurement
  • Cost management and negotiation
  • Stakeholder management
  • Cost analysis experience
  • Commercial acumen
