An opportunity has arisen for an innovative & energetic employment lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level with at least
3-6 years’ PAE to join a multi-disciplinary practice as a Workplace Legal Manager in their Employment & Pensions division. With an advisory focus, your responsibilities will include:
- Advising on all aspects of workplace relations & industrial law issues whilst assisting multi-disciplinary teams to manage employees during complex transactions (both nationally and globally).
- Advising employers on compliance with Australian labour laws, as well as assisting with ancillary issues that arise (including tax and data aspects) as well as litigious aspects.
- Partnering with clients to develop, implement and monitor strategy and systems from a people & culture perspective.
Key Requirements:
- A minimum of 3-6 years PQE gained ideally gained within an esteemed private practice team or similar- with admission in Australia.
- Prior exposure to employment and industrial relations with some experience in employment-related litigation.
- An understanding of how to deal with employees and associated labour in commercial transactions would be advantageous.
- Strong collaborative, interpersonal and problem-solving skills – with a desire to manage others.
- Self-sufficient with a positive and proactive attitude.
