The HR Business Partner with partner closely with the business units to ensure IR matters are executed accurately and discreetly. The core responsibilities are as follows:

  • Support and guide Business Unit leaders in dealing with performance and behavioural issues.
  • Represent P&C during terminations and dismissals
  • Advise and support the business with disciplinary action in line with company policy and state-wide legislation
  • Position self as the go-too for all ER / IR management issues
  • Work closely with relevant parties to resolve any disputes or grievances with overall aim in mitigating risk
  • Facilitate mediation between employees seeking informal grievance resolution
  • Support the business with contractual and legislative advice
  • Partner with business units to ensure understanding of legislative requirements and responsibility; coach business on best practice
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and development of company policy


The successful application will have:

  • Tertiary Legal and HR Qualifications
  • A solid understanding of IR and a demonstrable track record in HR Business Partnering
  • Experience working the the field of employment law and workplace relations
  • Experience of facilitating either conciliation or mediation within the workplace
  • An innate ability to influence and coach senior leaders on the area of Industrial Relations
  • A genuine passion for empowerment and wanting to effect positive change
