Accounts Payable Officer

ASX listed company are currently experiencing a strong period of growth. IN this position you will act a s a vital key member of the finance team whilst partnering across various business units. 
Your Role
  • Contribute to the end to end management and delivery of the Accounts Payable function for the company and strategic partners
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, with costs correctly classified to correct sites and accounts, allocated to the right period and GST correctly coded
  • Maintain supplier accounts and regularly review to ensure accuracy
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve issues
  • Review supplier lists for accuracy and ensure payment files are accurately prepared
  • Assist with corporate credit card management, including month-end acquittals and journals
  • Support month-end close tasks and general ledger reconciliations
  • Contribute to the management of the Accounts Payable mailbox and respond to telephone and email queries in a timely manner
  • Assist with validation and processing of rent related payments
  • Contribute to improving, standardising and/or automate processes
  • Assist with analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and project work as required
  • Provide exemplary service to suppliers and stakeholders by actively partnering and supporting the finance team, operations, and wider business
You would ideally have the following attributes:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or similar
  • 3+ years’ of experience in end to end Accounts Payable within high-volume, fast paced environments
  • Experience working with large multiple site organisations
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proactive and motivated attitude
  • Excellent work ethic and deadline driven
  • Strong level of honesty, integrity, resilience, commitment and responsibility to work collaboratively and deliver great customer service to all stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement and growth mindset
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities, time management and organisational skills
  • Strong numerical & analytical capabilities
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with SAGE X3 and CAAPs
  • You must be an Australian Citizen or have a current residency visa to live and work in Australia
