Global brand is seeking a highly motivated 4-7 year medical negligence and professional indemnity Associate / Senior Associate with expertise in construction indemnity to join a growing Insurance practice of a global firm, working across specialists in the industry.
Acting for a mix of domestic & local insurers, public & private hospitals & healthcare providers (including allied health professionals), you will have the opportunity to become involved in a broad mix of medical malpractice, professional indemnity & general liability work including:
- Defence of medical negligence matters from inception to settlement/trial.
- Advisory work – including policy response & complex coverage advice.
- The defence of complex & high-value claims involving instructing experts and external Counsel.
- Arbitration, settlement conferences & mediations.
The candidate will possess the following skills:
- A minimum of 4-7 years PAE gained within a top-tier, mid-tier or specialist defendant insurance law firm;
- Ability to autonomously manage & run a busy caseload of complex/high-value files;
- Strategic-thinker with a client focused approach.
- A keen interest in marketing, business development & client events.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills; and
- Ability to manage and supervise juniors within the team.
