An established firm with multiple offices is seeking a Manager/Associate Director who would like to head-up the Albury based office. The role is available due to the current Director of this office retiring within the next six months. The office is fully cloud based and has five staff, the majority of which are long-term.
Their client base is 90% business clients that are generally young in age and of high-quality requiring tax compliance, tax planning/strategy services in addition to ad-hoc value-add. The remainder are SMSFs and a very small number of individuals. This is a successful firm with a lot of life and a loyal client base.
They have a quality over quantity approach to work and are looking for someone with the same 'client first' values. They pride themselves on being a community focused firm with strong ethics and a positive and supportive attitude.
You will head-up the entire office and be responsible for the offices $800k in fees with the assistance of 5 highly-competent staff. The role will initially be that of Associate Director with the option to buy-in and become a Director of the overall firm (alongside other Directors from other offices).
You will be responsible for the offices budgets, work-flow and training of the staff. Business development will also be part of this role as you grow the office and its client base and service offerings. You will liaise and work closely with the Managing Director and Directors of the wider firm to make key business decisions. Whilst the office does have around 50 SMSFs, they already have a staff member who manages these therefore this experience is not essential.
- CA or CPA qualfied
- Over 8 years experience in professional practice
- Experience in mananging a portfolio of clients over $500k
- Experience in leading teams of staff
- Business advisory and/or outsourced CFO experience highly favourable
- Business development skills
