About the Client
Our client is a privately owned, vertically integrated, FMCG business, making some of Australia’s favorite products for almost 20 years. With a strong retail presence both in Australia and overseas, the business is positioned for the next exciting phase of growth. 

The business is now seeking to appoint a CEO with the mandate to execute on a strategic plan that will see rapid expansion, channel growth, and delivery of a platform that will provide more Australians with their favorite products every day. 

About the role
Reporting to a newly formed Board, the CEO will have primary accountability for executing on business strategy, with a key agenda for growth. Whilst there are multiple opportunities for improvement to execute on, our client has maintained consistently strong margins and has a strong balance sheet.
The growth strategy will encompass growing existing channel volumes, identifying new channels and products for growth and improving margins through operating efficiencies and review of product mix. A key element to success in the growth strategy will come from building upon and enhancing the existing brand’s strengths.
The role will lead all operational aspects of the business; including a key manufacturing facility, ensuring robust practices in an end to end supply chain, with a focus on supplier relationships.
The CEO is required to be hands-on, supporting the day to day operations across all facets of the business, but still requires a strong leader who can develop and deliver a long-term strategy.

The successful applicant
A highly effective and accomplished leader with experience in either building consumer brands or the FMCG sector (Dairy industry is a plus), you will have delivered a growth agenda in an established complex business. You will have experience of building an outstanding leadership team and inspiring them to achieve business goals.
Exposure to driving operational improvement, whilst ensuring excellent customer service, coupled with the ability to remain on the forefront of market dynamics will be critical. Existing relationships with both major retailers and independents will be key, supported with the ability to identify new channel growth opportunities.
