Credit Officer

A rare opportunity for a standalone credit officer has arisen to join manufacturing business join their  small office team based in Hornsby.

Duties include:
  • Allocation of payments received
  • Investigate credit claims and liaise with branch managers
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Assessment of credit applications
  • Assessment of customer credit limits.
  • Assisting branches with customer accounts;
  • Collection of overdue accounts where necessary
  • Raising Journal entries as required
  • Administration support to the business as required
  • Processing credit applications, credit assessments and limit reviews
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with customers, mercantile agents, liquidators, and administrators;
  • Data entry of payments;
  • Assisting in preparation of monthly debtors’ reports;
  • Accounts and Administration ad hoc tasks.

What you need to be succesful in this role:
  • Intermediate excel skills (v look ups/pivot tables)
  • Proven collections ability across a large ledger
  • Results and customer focused
  • Experience in a high-volume ledger
  • Experience in working with at least 1 large ERP System  
  • Experience and ability to multitask, proactive and efficient approach to problem solving;
  • Experience and ability to work well under time pressure, excellent time management skills and organise daily workload by priorities
  • Professional level verbal and written communication skills
