Workplace Relations & Safety Associate /Senior Associate 4-7 PAE

An opportunity has arisen for an energetic & motivated employment lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level -4-7 years’ PAE to join a busy Employment & Safety practice of a forward-thinking national firm, working primarily across three respected Partners in the industry. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Advising on all aspects of workplace relations & safety law including terminations/unfair dismissals, general protection & issues involving the Fair Work Commission.
  • Handling workplace investigations & prosecutions by regulatory agencies.
  • Acting for employer clients in the public & private sector across a range of industry sectors including advising on all aspects of employment contracts (including restraint of trade) as well as drafting workplace policies.
  • Litigation & representation in the (Federal and State) Tribunals.
Key Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4-7 years PQE gained within a reputable global, national or boutique employment law firm or in-house organisation 
  • Experience gained on a variety of workplace relations issues on the employer side.
  • Exposure to workplace health & safety litigation would be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – with a desire to learn and develop.
  • Solid academics.
  • Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
