Client Details

Our client, a boutique investment manager is seeking a passionate & experienced candidate to join their growing Business as Head of Operations. 

Description 

• Management and leadership of direct reports
• Managing the third party Custodian/Administrator relationships 
• Project management including systems deployment and other change
• Presentation to  clients as part of ongoing operational due diligence reviews;
• Review and calculation of management and performance fees
• Review and preparation of unit trust regulatory filings such as Business Activity Statements
• Review of unit trust distributions as prepared by the Administrator
• Managing the middle office functions including trade matching, settlement and reconciliation issues
• Presenting to the Risk and Compliance Committee’s on matters relating to investment operations
• Process review & implementation
• Responsible for the review and operational signoff of regulatory and statutory reporting as required (Trust distributions, financial statements & tax returns)

Profile

• CA or ACA Qualified 
• Degree qualified
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in a high-quality asset management / custodian with proven expertise in all aspects of investment operations
• Previous experience with global operating model design, process improvement and internal control management (including GS007)
• Solid investment and asset management knowledge – Equities, global markets & practices
• Proven experience with financial statement and fund distribution calculations
