Our client, an Australian iconic sporting organisation current embarking on a significant Digital Transformation.


Description 

The successful applicant will be responsible for the hands-on development, maintenance and support of new and existing business applications, websites and functions. Critical to the success of this role is the ability and passion for contributing to technical planning such as requirements gathering, task estimation and proof-of-concept builds. You will be driven, confident and proactive in your interactions with various and diverse stakeholders to achieve a desirable outcome.


Responsibilities
  • Perform software development, enhancements and bug fixes for business critical applications and services, resulting from user raised incidents, BAU and assigned project tasks
  • Maintain and improve overall quality of the code base. Adhere to high standards of development practices and continuous improvement
  • Perform hands-on solution design, solution architectures, prototyping/proof-of-concepts as required in support of business product and digital transformation initiatives
  • Liaise with technology peers where required and/or third-party technology partners in the design and delivery of technology initiatives
  • Create and maintain technical documentation relating to software development and enhancements

Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of software development best practices and design patterns
  • Python with exposure to .Net
  • JavaScript (NodeJS and any frontend framework)
  • AWS SDK and native services (including Lambda, API Gateway)
  • API development and microservice architecture
  • Experience creating Unit Tests and an understanding of BDD
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and show a willingness to adapt and learn
  • Solid understanding and experience of working in an Agile delivery environment
  • Customer-focused with an ability to drive positive business outcomes
