FutureYou has partnered with a leading financial services firm in the search of an IT Operations Manager to join their leadership team. With a strong local and global presence, our client focuses on providing the best customer experience and engaged workforce committed to innovation and collaboration.


This IT Operations Manager will be responsible for leading, guiding and coaching a team of IT professionals including .NET developers, infrastructure specialists and testers based internationally with the purpose of delivering strong results and superior service to both their internal and external clients. You will oversee the IT Operations function including Vendor Management and leading change projects with a focus on customer engagement.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Management and ownership of the group’s enterprise infrastructure architecture and framework governance
  • Ownership of server infrastructure performance and security
  • Playing a lead role in IT projects such as developing BI capabilities, transitioning to the Cloud & Cyber security initiatives
  • Ensure that all internal service levels and metrics are in alignment with business expectations
  • Managing configurations and deployments of all the organisation’s applications
  • Interfacing with a range of business stakeholders and ensuring that key architectural outcomes are delivered
  • Recommending, implementing and supporting new technology solutions in the market
  • Working closely with platform experts, delivery teams and external vendors
  • Being the point of contact for all IT escalations


In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the infrastructure network of a commercial business
  • Previous experience in people leadership with a track record of motivating and developing high performing IT teams
  • Previous experience in developing or contributing to the development of an IT strategy, coupled with the lived experience in executing the strategy in a ‘hands on’ style of role
  • Highly developed stakeholder relationship skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to a range of stakeholders
  • Ability to innovate and build relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
