Tasked with improving health outcomes for Australians through the delivery of digital healthcare systems and the national digital health strategy for Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) commenced operations on 1 July 2016. The Agency is responsible for national digital health services and systems, with a focus on engagement, innovation and clinical quality and safety. Our focus is on putting data and technology safely to work for patients, consumers and the healthcare professionals who look after them.
 
The Role
 
The Director, Research and Evaluation role is responsible for the design, development and delivery of best practice evaluation methodologies to clearly articulate the impact of digital health initiatives. The role will utilise behavioural insights and analysis of user needs and behaviours to formulate actionable evidence-based recommendations for policy, product and service developments within the digital health ecosystem. The successful candidate leads a team of passionate professionals providing an evidence based evaluation of current and future initiatives used to support strategy development, planning, and management decision making. The team is responsible for reporting on the performance of key initiatives in relation to meeting the Agency’s objectives.
 
Profile-

You will develop strong working relationships with internal and external business stakeholders and vendors. You will possess the ability to prepare and present complex information in succinct pieces of advice at a strategic senior level, preferably within the health sector. The role will also provide leadership and direction to the team and broadly across the Agency by fostering and encouraging a workplace environment that is outcomes focused. The successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain or hold a current baseline security clearance.
