About the Employer

• As part of a global group, this organisation is a multi-billion dollar sized, industrial market leader with a large Australian footprint. This business has extensive operations with an incredibly diverse range of products and service offerings. The company continues to grow and invest in sizeable long-term service contracts and capital projects of significant scope and scale. As such, a commercially astute Procurement Category Manager is sought to provide full end-to-end category management of a high value spend for capital expenditure and MRO.  

About the Role

• As Procurement Category Manager, responsible for Capex & MRO, you will report into a highly admired Procurement Leader to drive commercial wins. You will work collaboratively to draft and execute a Category Management Plan with responsibility for a sizeable portfolio of spend. 

Your Profile

• You will be proactive and inquisitive to establish best practice processes and in-market solutions. You will have a CV that demonstrates a broad range of wins in category management savings as well as the ability to work collegiately with stakeholders to refine and review operating processes. You will dive into the detail to determine fact-based solutions that allow you to project manage best practice outcomes as part of a process improvement and transformation initiatives across key areas of spend. Expertise in managing high-value deals with an industrial, capex, capital equipment or MRO would be highly advantageous. In short, you will be a highly capable Procurement Category Manager, with expertise to ensure full processes are managed successfully with a focus on price, supply, risk, quality and vendor relationships.
