Client profile:
My client is a listed property developer and asset owner that is seeking to bring on an experienced Assistant Development Manager to support their development team nationally. Ideally you will have experience in either retail or commercial development or project management, and have a desire to grow your career with a leading organisation nationally.
Role overview:
  • Assist in project feasibility, budgets, design, planning permit applications, delivery, marketing and leasing.
  • Ensure ongoing communication with clients and prepare monthly updates.
  • Assist in report writing and the preparation of written reports.
  • Contribute in the development of project design briefs and development scenarios.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing collateral reviews, updates and external communication.
  • Co-ordinate and prepare various meeting agendas, minutes and attend and coordinate agents and marketing meetings, inclusive of generating minutes and following up actions ahead of time.
  • Assist with the procurement of consultants inclusive of benchmarking their corresponding fee proposals against previous projects.
  • Contribute with preparing legal documentation, and liaise with legal practitioners.
  • Hold a Bachelor of Property, Valuations, Construction, or similar.
  • At least 2-3 years' experience within commercial property ideally within valuations, commercial sales and/leasing and property management, or similar.
  • Commercial Office, Retail or Industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong in excel, mathematical skills will be an advantage
  • Aspirations to progress your career over time to become a Development Manager.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Relationship building skills with ability form relationships with all stakeholders.
  • High degree of motivation and self-drive.
  • Accuracy with strong attention to detail.
  • A strong understanding real estate in the Australian marketplace.
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment and on your own.
