Senior Financial Accountant

Client Details

Global Financial Services organisation seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a collaborate and Innovate environment.
Primary responsibility is for the accurate reporting of business transactions and information that will facilitate planning decisions for the organisation.

Description

• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process
• Ensure all Balance Sheet reconciliations are completed monthly
• Weekly cash flow reporting
• Ensure the business is up to date with BAS/Payroll tax/FBT and PAYG commitments
• Managing monthly payroll process
• Perform AP/AR function to ensure all payments and receipts are completed in a timely fashion
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies

 Profile

• CA /ACCA/CPA qualified
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years' experience in an accounting role
• Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
• Familiarity with financial accounting statements
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Financial services experience desirable
