Competition (Regulatory) Lawyer 2-4 years PAE

Working alongside a leading practitioner in their field, a newly created opportunity has arisen for a 2-4 year competition lawyer to join a busy & growing top-rated practice with a focus on competition & consumer law. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Handling & defending allegations brought by the ACCC including misuse of market power.
  • A mix of competition & consumer law files including but not limited to: merger clearance, cartel investigations, immunity/leniency applications, anti-competitive practices & consumer protection.
  • Regulatory investigations in relation to price fixing, market sharing or bid rigging; as well as
  • Advising on joint ventures and supply chain arrangements across a range of industry sectors.
Key Requirements:
 You will possess:
  • A minimum of 2-4 years’ PAE in competition & consumer law either from a well-regarded private practice organisation or at a regulator. More senior candidates will also be considered.
  • Prior exposure to or an understanding of regulatory, compliance and risk issues in this space would be advantageous.
  • Solid academics.
  • Strong drafting, technical and communication skills
  • A positive “can-do” attitude.
