General Insurance Associate or Senior Associate - financial lines, D&O and cyber focus

Global insurance and reinsurance firm is seeking a highly motivated 3-6 year defendant insurance Associate or Senior Associate with broad expertise across general insurance to join a developing and growing Insurance practice of a global firm, working primarily with two specialists in the industry.
 
Acting for a mix of insurers, both across Australia and in London. You will have the opportunity to become involved in a broad mix of high-level insurance work including:
 
  • Drafting coverage advice & advising on risk – some of which will be multi-jurisdictional.
  • Act on professional indemnity, D&O & financial lines matters on behalf of a number of professionals including accountants, financial advisors, construction & design professionals and brokers;
  • Acting on multi-million dollar disputes across the APAC region; as well as
  • Assisting the Partners on cyber work as the practice grows.
The candidate will possess the following skills:
  • A minimum of 3-6 years PAE gained within a top-tier, national or well-regarded insurance law firm;
  • Expertise in general insurance work including exposure to either professional indemnity & construction indemnity or financial lines and D&O work as a minimum.
  • Solid academic record with a commercial approach.
  • Keen interest in business development, marketing & client events.
  • Excellent interpersonal, drafting and technical skills;
  • Ability to manage and run your own caseload of files relatively autonomously;
