Client Details
Our client is one of the largest energy networks in Australia, responsible for the distribution and operation of electricity. They are going through a large transformation across the organisation currently so an exciting time to join. They have a sustainable focus committed to planning for the future.
As the Fleet Engineering Manager you will responsible for over 2,000 plant vehicles and a team of customer service, engineers and analysts. They will be an experienced Technical leader and will be responsible for implementing operational planning and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Overseas and implements the operational strategy, safety and financial management of the fleet
  • Mentor, coach and develop the team
  • Directs end to end service management including performance of the contracted FMO
  • Drives cost effective and efficient fleet and plant specification, acquisition, disposal and replacement to ensure optimal performance, safety and customer satisfaction
  • Data-driven approach to fleet management
  • Controls acquisition, allocation, equipping and modification of new vehicles and plant
  • Oversees plant hire process ensuring customer needs are met through a combination of owned and hired assets
  • Supports the refurbishment of major plant items and major repair work
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or other relevant field
  • Prior experience in leadership role
  • Extensive experience in fleet management, maintenance and acquisition
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
